As we have been asked by Ormonde Flying Club To put on both a stacic and flying display on Sat and Sun 6th and 7th will all members try to get to Birr airfield and bring as many models as possible for both display and flying.
Models on stacic like other years will be quite safe as we will have our own area in the large shed.
Its a good feeling when a local club like ours, that is thriving at the moment can give back something to the local community.

On behalf of MMFC I would like to thank all the contestants that came from far and wide and made our Scale Championships a great sucess.
I would like to thank also our own crew who both helped in the preperation and on the day, we could’nt do it without you.
A special word of thanks to Declan (M) Anna and grandaughter who fed the troops with the finest of food and I think everyone at least went away full.
It was nice to see our Scale secretary Paul who, through work commitments could not take
part but called in just to say hello and see how the event was going.

MACI Scale Event Saturday 23rd July 2011

Weather for coming weekend looks good and at this stage the Scale Event will be run on Saturday next 23.07.2011 at 9.00 AM

On behalf of MMFC I would like to take the opportunity to thank everybody that came from far and wide and made our Bring and buy Fun Fly a great success.
Unfortunally, the weather forecast for Saturday night Sunday morning that was correct made it impractical to have an overnight in Boora. But we do intend having one in the near future so keep a close eye on the Club news.
However four of us not to be put of by the oncoming of wind and rain stayed till about midnight and had some good night flying and craic and same can be viewed on utube.
Again, thanks to everybody that came, and to all our own crew that helped in any way.

This year were having a two day event.
Saturday night will be an overnight Tents can be pitched one side of the pits area.
Power and floodlighting which should help those on the Saturday night that has never tried night flying before.

This year emphasis will be on FUNFLYING so the bring and buy will only take place each day up to 1.00 PM.

We intend having loads of prizes for all types of crazy flying in both fixed wing and heli.

A MONSTER BARBECUE will take place on Saturday evening.

As with other years we will try and have as many commercial outlets there as possible, Model Heli Supplies, Eamon Morrissey, Shana Perrinns painted heli canopy’s, Midland Aero models ect..

AS always MACI rules will be adhered to, so DON’T FORGET YOUR MACI CARD

So why not make this a weekend for the whole family.

All are welcome Planes, Helis, and Jets.

Orders can also be taken for a massive fry up Sunday morning.
